According to a media report, thousands of asylum seekers have still not been recorded. This should be done immediately.
"This so-called risk group comprises 3638 applicants from Syria and Iraq, which were decided by written procedure," ZDF magazine Frontal 21 and the "Nürnberger Nachrichten" cite from an internal mail from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF ).
The group is considered risky, because the fugitives were not personally heard by BAMF staff, but only had to complete a questionnaire. These cases would be "regis- tered by 15.07.2017", according to the report, according to the BAMF.
As early as the beginning of June, the authorities had acknowledged that - contrary to earlier information - not all refugees in Germany had taken fingerprints and taken photographs. At that time a BAMF spokeswoman said it was a "four-digit" number of asylum seekers.
